Child Safeguarding
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people
eitherfrequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
Role Purpose
The Education Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, and supervision of educational programs in Alexandria. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including schools, teachers and community members, to ensure that educational initiatives are delivered effectively and achieve their intended outcomes. This educational activity will aim to promote and facilitate access to quality and safe educational opportunities for the children in Alexandria. The Education Coordinator will also oversee the monitoring and evaluation of programs, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of successful experience in project implementation in the development/humanitarian field with a reputable NGO in Egypt, preferably in the education field.
Experience And Skills
- Highly familiar with the refugees and migrant’s context in Egypt, is a must.
- Previous experience in the education field is required.
- Proven knowledge and skills in education activities’ planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Proven successful experience in team management.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Good training and facilitation skills.
- Strong networking, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written).
- Good command of the English language (spoken and written) Very good at using the internet, MS Office, Email, and spreadsheets.
- Commitment to Save the Children values, and Child Safeguarding policy.
Preferably
- Experience in working with UASC, youth, and adolescents.
- Experience in implementing similar educational interventions to the targeted group.
- Experience with using technology in education.
