Job Purpose:
The role plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth for Network International by developing and managing the set of Value-added services provided to the customers such as innovative data services, analytics, and dashboard solutions. This role is essential in enhancing the company’s value proposition to existing and new customers, including banks, fintechs, and mobile network operators (MNOs). The Senior Product Manager will lead the product strategy, development, and client engagement efforts, ensuring that VAS products meet customer needs and deliver exceptional value. By providing expert advisory services and collaborating closely with sales team, this role will help position Network International as a leader in the market, contributing to increased sales and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Vision
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for value-added services, focusing on data services, analytics, and dashboards.
- Align product strategy with overall company goals and market trends.
Market Research and Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and market opportunities in data services and analytics.
- Analyze competitive products and industry trends to inform product development.
Product Development and Management
- Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, with a focus on data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales.
- Define product requirements and create detailed product roadmaps.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with key stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Present product updates and performance metrics to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Establish strong relationships with the other regional teams as a critical determinant of success and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Customer Focus and Advisory
- Advocate for the customer by ensuring products meet their needs and deliver exceptional value.
- Provide advisory services to customers, helping them understand and utilize data services and analytics solutions.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve the product.
- Excel in written and verbal communication, with strong analytical framework that can use data to see around corners.
Client Engagement
- Work closely with account managers to present solutions to customers.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to demonstrate product capabilities and benefits.
- Translate client needs to high-impact solutions and communicate this information effectively to the product and delivery teams for a flawless execution.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Monitor product performance and key metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to optimize product performance and drive growth.
Budget and Resource Management
- Manage product budgets and allocate resources effectively to achieve product goals.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product team.
- Stay updated with the latest industry developments and incorporate best practices into product management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of total experience with 5+ years in data services, analytics, and dashboard solutions.
- Proven record of developing and launching successful value-added services in the financial technology sector.
- Strong knowledge of data analytics, data visualization, and dashboard tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure and software development processes.
- Understanding of the cards business, including payment processing, card issuance, and related technologies.
- Experience in providing advisory solutions to customers, helping them leverage data services and analytics for business growth.
- Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to engage with account managers and present solutions to customers effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute product strategies that align with business goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales.
- IT background is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related the cards business.
