Financial Controller - Saudi Arabia

A Financial Controller plays a critical role in the overall financial health and success of Boudl Hotels & Resorts. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, and risk management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced and dynamic hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for all departments within the assigned hotels/resorts.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement in profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting & Accounting:
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and payroll.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.
  • Prepare and file all necessary tax returns and statutory filings.
  • Internal Controls & Risk Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
  • Identify and mitigate potential financial risks.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Team Leadership & Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and provide ongoing training and support.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Technology & Systems:
  • Proficient in the use of various financial software programs, including SAP, SUN, MC, OPERA.
  • Implement and maintain financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements in finance.
  • Compliance & Regulations:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller in 5-star hotels.
  • Minimum 10 years of overall experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent experience in preparing (All financial statements – All financial reports – Balance sheets – Budgets – Statement of Cash Flows. Financial analysis and reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software programs (SAP, SUN, MC, OPERA).
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
