Job Description
Country Approval Manager ensures the products and services in Mobility Aftermarket Africa sell in this region to comply with all the norms, regulations and laws in the Egyptian market.
The C-APM provides the research at a very basic level to generally determine if a law, norm or standard applies to a specific product. He/she will be responsible for communicating the legal standards to the Robert Bosch Business Units and product managers, ensuring all regulatory laws are understood and effectively communicated within the business.
Duties will include:
1. Liaison and Coordination:
- Serve as the main point of contact for international business units regarding Egypt’s import requirements.
- Collaborate with GEOIC and other regulatory bodies to facilitate necessary approvals for imports.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, including those established by GEOIC, related to standards and certifications.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to secure import approvals and certifications.
3. ISO Standards and Certification:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ISO standards applicable to the industry and ensure that all products meet these specifications.
4. Active Participation in Standards Committees:
- Actively participate in aftermarket committees that set standards in collaboration with the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality, contributing to the development and implementation of relevant standards.
5. Process Management:
- Develop and maintain efficient processes for obtaining approvals from GEOIC.
- Monitor and track the progress of import applications to ensure timely approvals.
6. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and business units.
- Provide guidance on compliance best practices and regulatory changes affecting import processes.
7. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare detailed reports on the status of import approvals, regulatory challenges, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Analyze trends in import approvals and recommend strategies for streamlining compliance procedures.
8. Training and Support:
- Conduct training sessions for internal teams on compliance with Egyptian standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the import approval process
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in legal studies or business administration, law, intellectual property.
- Advantage of Technical / Automotive Engineering background.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in regulatory compliance, import/export operations, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of Egyptian import regulations, particularly those enforced by GEOIC.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and certification processes, especially in the context of OEMs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and cultures.
Proven problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
