Governance Framework and Policies\:
• Document, review and enhance the IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
• Perform Continuous reviews and control changes applied to IT processes
• Ensure alignment and proper integration with other organization processes
• Schedule and manage meetings with processes owners and impacted teams across the IT departments
Compliance and Auditing\:
• Oversee and ensure strict compliance with IT governance policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Schedule, communicate and conduct regular internal audits and assessments for IT departments.

Initiate audit reports and remediation plans for all IT processes, KPIs, and measurements.
• Follow up and track audit action items and ensure proper execution by stakeholders
Project Governance\:
• Develop and maintain project governance practices, providing guidance and expertise in aligning IT projects with governance standards and strategies.
• Lead the definition of IT Projects KPIs, measurement and reporting with the Delivery teams and Project Managers across IT Departments
Risk Management\:
• Develop and implement the IT Risk Management Procedures
• Provide advanced support in the identification and assessment of IT-related risks, including the development of risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with the IT Risk Assessment Committee for periodic risk assessments and support the implementation of risk mitigation plans.
Communication and Reporting\:

• Work with other IT Governance Experts in Developing and generating communication plans and Dashboards within the governance framework, ensuring that all stakeholders, IT Management are informed, receive, review and are aligned with governance initiatives and recommended areas of improvements.
• Play a central role in preparing comprehensive reports on IT governance and compliance for presentation to senior management and the board of directors.
• Prepare summarized reports and dashboards for CTIO, Corporate Governance and Etisalat Group as needed
Continuous Improvement\:
• Track, follow up and report on continuous improvement initiatives within the governance framework, seeking opportunities to enhance IT governance practices.
• Enhance awareness of IT Governance among process owners through sessions to existing resources and new joiners
Performance Measurement\:
• Build and maintain the yearly performance framework and ensure full alignment with department strategy and strategic objectives
• Ensure that IT objectives and KPIs are established in collaboration with key stakeholders, and measurable targets are set, monitored, and evaluated.
Internal Controls and Automation\:

• Design and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, including system development frameworks, standards, operating policies and procedures, project management, change management, backup and disaster recovery, and access management controls.
• Assess and implement the automation of IT controls and related processes in various system environments, including projects, OS, applications, and databases.
• Collaborate with IT leadership, Internal Audit, and information security teams to ensure effective internal controls are implemented and maintained
• Understand the root cause of issues identified through internal and external audits and develop remediation strategies in collaboration with control owners and IT leadership
Auditing and Compliance Liaison\:
• Support the IT Governance Manager in internal/external audits, by taking the lead in some audits when distributed workload among the IT Governance Experts, acting as the IT single point of contact for audit matters, and working closely with internal/external auditors and internal IT stakeholders to ensure a smooth audit process, data collection, and prompt closure of audit findings or recommendations.
IT Operations Dashboards\:
• Work with IT operations teams in establishing, reviewing, and analysing overall IT operations dashboards for frequent reporting, monitoring, and ensuring accurate measure, correct analysis, and justifications of any deviations or changes appearing in the dashboards.
Service Level Agreements\:
• Establish and maintain OLAs and SLAs within IT teams and sections.
Post Implementation Reporting\:

• Investigate production issues and validate root causes identified by the IT support teams in the generation of PIRs.
• Support and sometimes take the lead in documenting the PIRs. Ensure corrective actions are defined and tracked for reporting to the CTIO and concerned IT Directors.
Team Mentorship\:
• Mentor and guide IT Governance Analysts and Sr. Analysts, sharing expertise, best practices, and engage governance staff in dialy activities helping to develop the next generation of governance professionals.
