The Technical Office Engineer is responsible for supporting project management and engineering teams by providing technical expertise, preparing documentation, and ensuring that project specifications and requirements are met. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain all technical documentation, including shop drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to project managers and site engineers, addressing any engineering issues that arise during the construction process.
- Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project design and specifications, facilitating communication among all parties.
- Quality Control: Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and other technical documents, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards.
- Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects, evaluating material quantities and labor requirements.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, verify compliance with technical specifications, and address any issues on-site.
- Change Management: Evaluate the impact of design changes on project timelines and budgets, updating documentation and communicating adjustments as necessary.
- Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and solutions to keep stakeholders informed.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
