Job Purpose
· Plan and implement Transmission planning plans , DCN , synchronization and procedures to ensure the network has the necessary Transmission requirements on time to achieve site rollout, network optimization & availability.
· Planning ISP Transmission High utilized links links networks to have a reliable, expandable and stable Transmission by applying effective solutions, mid and long term plans using the best in class technologies with reduced OPEX to align with the company Business plan and strategy.
ISP Fixed Nodes Planning to have a reliable, expandable and stable Transmission Network by applying effective solutions, with effective cost to support Etisalat network growth.

Transmission capacity planning over transmission network to achieve best utilization for the transmission resources & sites integration , expansion , B2B
- E2E route planning for the new sites & B2B accounts , DCN Plan
- Transmission availability analysis for the different service targets over the transmission network (new sites, B2B , expansion, Swap, IUB Conversion ….etc.)
- Ownership for Update and maintain the different database with the latest network change
- Access sites

- E2E service creation over the transmission network for the new expansion 2G/3G/4G sites and special services , ISP accounts
- Service distribution optimization over the transmission links to achieve proper utilization for the transmission media
- Monthly Leased Line Utilization Monitoring and corresponding offloading Plans
- Ensuring protection mechanisms on each created service
- Monthly Expansion dashboard Tacking and reporting
- DCN Planning for transmission network and provide DCN plan for new nodes , optimization and modernization activities
Fixed Transmission Planning & Introducing TX solution in Etisalat Core & Regional Network in order to serve core requirements, Rollout , IP backbone network transmission , B2B , ISP Interconnection
- Handling all expansion and creations on Fixed Nodes
- Detailed low level design for each circuit migration from Node to other.
- Ensuring protection mechanisms on each created service
- Handling Utilization reports for SDH/Ethernet ports/link/nodes
- Auditing the Core & Regional TX network Issuing Long Term Plans to effectively use the ADM products to ensure network optimization that will result in Departmental CAPEX & OPEX savings in cairo region
- E1’s, STM-1’s , GE’s ordering, rerouting & cancelling for the purpose of new Access sites Rollout, new nodes introduction at the Core nodes sites.
- Planning for the synchronization needs for transmission equipment, BSS, RNCs & MGWs in all regions.
- Tackling & studying the roadmap of the current vendors’ equipment and other vendors in the market to provide new solutions with the state of the art technology with a successful Business Case in order to align with departmental goals and strategies.
- FTX New nodes orders and BOQ revision to match Etisalat forecast requirements
Handling & Providing all low level design & creation
- of IT networks & Customer Care
New Solutions and Solution , material design and reporting
- Tackle & study the roadmap of the current vendors' equipment and other vendors in the market to provide new solutions with a state of the art technology with a successful business case in order to align with departmental goals and strategies.
- Issue and update the regular reports of the fixed transmission network briefing the main issues for the different projects, the achievements and the concerns as well as network database update in order to keep upper management updated by raising flag for any issue that may disturb the running projects to meet their deadlines.
- Conduct fixed transmission new technology and strategic decisions to ensure Etisalat synchronization with the newest technologies that fulfill Etisalat requirements of availability, OPEX saving and compatibility with new services.
Process fixed transmission new nodes orders and Bill of Quantity (BOQ) revision to match Etisalat forecast requirements.
