We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the company’s daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial data, compliance with accounting standards, and timely preparation of financial reports. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in monitoring expenses, assessing financial risks, and providing valuable insights to support the company's financial health. This position also involves working closely with auditors, preparing tax returns, and delivering periodic reports to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare periodic financial reports, such as monthly and annual financial statements, to review financial performance.
- Monitor expenses and costs to ensure compliance with the budget and identify any variances.
- Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide periodic reports to senior management on the company's financial position, along with recommendations for improvement.
- Cooperate with the chartered accountant, facilitate audits, and ensure the accuracy of financial reports.
- Prepare and submit necessary tax returns accurately and on time.
Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance c+ degree or above Experience:Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.Experience in managing daily accounting operations and preparing financial statements.Skills and Abilities:Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Excellent analytical skills to monitor expenses, costs, and financial variances.Ability to assess financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.Experience in preparing and submitting tax returns.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Excellent communication skills for providing reports and insights to senior management.Experience in facilitating audits and working with external auditors.Additional Requirements:Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations in Egypt.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
