DESCRIPTION

Lead the Direct Imports for Amazon in Egypt. Responsible for importing products for Amazon Retail.

Key job responsibilities

The Direct Import Leader is responsible for:

- Ensuring the execution of the Operating Plan for Importation in Egypt.

- Ensures the coverage of Import stocks during sales events.

- Delivers the lead time from all importation destinations to Egypt.

- Delivers the cost objectives as Cost per Unit imported according to the plan and work towards stretched targets.

- Sets Logistic Providers strategy in a way that ensures business continuity and having competitive cost and delivery time.

- Work with Amazon Fulfilment Centers to ensure safe and timely inbounding of Direct Imports into Amazon Fulfilment Centers.

- Ensures Carriers and logistics providers are complying with customs and other regulations in partnership with Compliance teams.

- Supports automation, lean and simplification projects for the region through working with the team for annual roadmap that delivers continuous improvement for the Regional Direct Import Team.

Skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience

- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
