Job Summary: The HSE Officer (Site) will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment on a hotel construction project in the North Coast. This role involves implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular health and safety risk assessments and site inspections to identify hazards, risks, and non-compliance issues.
• Training: Coordinate and conduct HSE training and education programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders, covering topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and risk mitigation.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports documenting root causes, contributing factors, and corrective actions taken.
• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and enforce compliance with HSE regulations, standards, and procedures, and communicate requirements and expectations to employees and contractors.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on HSE performance, including incident statistics, inspection findings, and corrective actions.
• Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response planning and drills, and coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities as needed.
• Communication: Clearly communicate safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to all site personnel and ensure understanding and adherence.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or specialized certifications in HSE.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in the construction industry.
• Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Skilled in conducting health and safety risk assessments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
