- Quality Control Management:
- Lead and manage the QC team to ensure consistent product quality.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and standards.
- Establish quality benchmarks and monitor production lines to ensure adherence.
- Inspection and Testing:
- Supervise and guide inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Ensure accurate and timely testing and documentation to meet production schedules.
- Troubleshoot issues with production quality and coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve problems.
- Compliance and Regulatory Standards:
- Ensure that all QC activities comply with industry regulations, standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, EN), and customer requirements.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Oversee the preparation and review of quality control reports, including non-conformance reports, corrective action reports, and test results.
- Maintain proper documentation of all quality-related activities and ensure records are organized and accessible.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in quality systems and processes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and optimize QC processes.
- Identify and implement best practices for quality control, ensuring the use of the latest testing techniques and technologies.
- Train staff on new QC techniques, procedures, and updates to regulatory standards.
- Supplier Quality Management:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
- Perform supplier audits and assessments, providing feedback to improve supplier quality performance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, engineering, and R&D teams to address quality issues and implement solutions.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure that quality standards are clearly communicated to suppliers.
- Health & Safety:
- Ensure QC processes and procedures adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Promote a safe working environment for the QC team, enforcing proper use of safety equipment and protocols.
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality control, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, or Six Sigma.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Leadership and team management experience.Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
