Intertrade Co. is looking for a talented and experienced Production and Process Engineer to drive process improvements and innovation within our manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in optimizing production efficiency, improving machine performance, and developing new methods to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of production processes, machinery, and quality standards, with a focus on continuous improvement and technical problem-solving. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and others, to implement efficient processes and meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize production processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize costs.
- Design and implement new processes, integrating innovative technologies.
- Ensure equipment efficiency by developing, planning and carrying out maintenance schedules and coordinating with the maintenance team.
- Identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain quality standards.
- Develop, maintain, and implement SOPs to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency.
- Track and analyze production data, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and report key metrics to management.
- Create VSM and Process Flow Charts.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to address defects, improve product quality, and reduce scrap or rework.
- Work cross-functionally with planning, procurement, and quality teams to align process improvements with production goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends to introduce innovative production techniques.
- Supervise daily production operations, ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective output.
- Lead process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices and new procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.2 to 4 years of experience in production engineering, process development, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment (PVC manufacturing/ home appliances - Refrigerators manufacturing experience preferred/ PVC Gaskets).Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and technical problem-solving.Proven experience in process improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies.Hands-on experience with OEE tracking, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping or similar efficiency measurement systems.Proficiency in using CAD software, production planning tools, and other relevant technology.Knowledge of industry standards (ISO) and regulatory compliance in production processes.Preferred living in Cairo or Al Sharkia.SkillsStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Good understanding of production processes and resource management.Analytical mindset with attention to detail.Strong software skills, particularly in MS Excel and ERP systems and production management tools.
