Overview:
The Project Control Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by providing strategic guidance and oversight to the planning, cost control, and quantity surveying teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects and a deep understanding of project control principles and methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of planning, cost control, and quantity surveying professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
Cost Control and Management: Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing corrective measures.
Quantity Surveying: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely invoices for both clients and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contract terms and industry standards.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular progress reports, cost analyses, and other relevant metrics to inform decision-making and track project performance.
Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal team members, to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil / Arch. engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a Project Control Manager role.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies .
Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, AutoCAD) is desirable.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
