- Security Planning & Management:
- Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures for the farm.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Create and maintain a security plan, including emergency response procedures for various scenarios (e.g., theft, fire, natural disasters).
- Personnel Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise security staff, ensuring they are equipped to carry out their duties effectively.
- Schedule and coordinate shifts to ensure 24/7 security coverage across all farm properties.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of security personnel and provide ongoing training and development.
- Asset Protection:
- Monitor and protect the farm's assets, including crops, livestock, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, such as surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and private security firms as needed.
- Incident Response:
- Lead investigations into security breaches, thefts, and other incidents, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken.
- Maintain detailed records of security incidents and report them to farm management.
- Provide recommendations for improving security measures based on incident analysis.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to farm security.
- Work with the farm's safety team to promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Participate in audits and inspections related to farm security and safety.
- Communication & Reporting:
- Liaise with farm management and other departments to align security measures with overall farm operations.
- Prepare and present regular security reports to senior management, highlighting key issues and actions taken.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, Army, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in security management, preferably in an agricultural / Animal ( Army)Strong leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in security systems and technology.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
