Job Summary:
The Refrigeration Manager is responsible for the management and maintenance of refrigeration systems within a frozen fry’s factory. This includes overseeing the efficient operation, troubleshooting, and repair of all refrigeration and cold storage equipment to ensure the safe storage and preservation of frozen fries. The role involves managing a team of refrigeration technicians, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing energy usage within the refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of the factory’s refrigeration and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Monitor and manage refrigeration systems used for the freezing and storage of fries to maintain appropriate temperatures and product quality.
- Ensure that all refrigeration systems, including ammonia or other refrigerant-based units, operate safely and efficiently.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize system downtime and extend the lifespan of refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration issues promptly to avoid production delays or product spoilage.
- Manage and troubleshoot problems with refrigeration equipment, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and other components.
- Lead and manage a team of refrigeration technicians responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration and cold storage systems.
- Provide training to team members on the safe and effective operation and maintenance of refrigeration equipment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and ensure that the team adheres to maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
- Monitor energy consumption within the refrigeration systems and identify opportunities for energy savings.
- Work with the engineering and operations teams to implement energy-efficient solutions and optimize the overall performance of the refrigeration systems.
- Investigate and implement new technologies or techniques that improve refrigeration efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Maintain accurate records of refrigeration system performance, maintenance schedules, and repairs.
- Monitor system temperature logs and performance data to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Provide regular reports on system efficiency, maintenance activities, and any equipment issues to management.
- Oversee the proper operation of cold storage areas to ensure that frozen fries are stored under optimal conditions.
- Ensure that the cold storage facilities meet temperature and humidity requirements for the long-term preservation of frozen fries.
- Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure proper handling and storage of frozen products.
- Propose and implement improvements to refrigeration processes and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Participate in factory-wide continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to broader operational goals.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Refrigeration Engineering.2.
