Senior Financial Accountant

Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial activities within the jewelry shop, including auditing, cost control, and revenue forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with experience in the retail or jewelry sector being a plus. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the financial health of the business and providing insights for strategic decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement cost control measures to enhance profitability and manage expenses effectively.
  • Prepare detailed revenue forecasts, analyzing trends and market conditions to provide actionable insights.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, reports, and summaries for internal review and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with management to develop budgets and financial plans aligned with business goals.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying variances and areas for improvement.
  • Assist with tax preparation and compliance, ensuring adherence to local taxes regulations.
  • Support the implementation of financial software and systems for improved efficiency and reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for special projects and initiatives as needed.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the retail or jewelry industry.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing processes, cost control, and revenue forecasting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo) and Microsoft Excel IS A MUST.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
