Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the mechanical maintenance and repair of heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, graders, asphalt pavers, and excavators.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other components.
- Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prolong equipment life.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and repair support during operations to minimize disruption to projects.
- Supervise and train a team of technicians and maintenance personnel.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records for each piece of equipment.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of required parts and materials.
- Collaborate with project teams to schedule repairs and minimize delays in construction activities.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience in Roads Construction Equipment is a must2 - 6 years of experience in the mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment, with a focus on road construction machinery.Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems used in construction equipment.Hands-on experience with diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in heavy machinery.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.Proficiency in maintenance management software and MS Office Suite.Willingness to work on-site and travel between various project locations.
