HSE Department Manager

The HSE Department Manager in the construction field is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors involved in construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of construction-specific safety hazards, regulations, and best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs tailored to the construction industry, addressing specific hazards such as falls, electrical hazards, and heavy equipment accidents.

Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards on construction sites and develop effective mitigation strategies.

Safety Training: Develop and deliver safety training programs for all construction personnel, covering topics such as personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency procedures, and specific safety requirements for different tasks. 

Incident Investigation: Investigate safety incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, including OSHA, ANSI, and local building codes.

Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans for construction sites, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and communication strategies.

Safety Audits: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Safety Culture: Promote a strong safety culture within the organization, encouraging employees and contractors to take ownership of their safety and report any concerns.

Reporting: Prepare and submit safety reports to management, including accident statistics, safety performance metrics, and recommendations for improvement.

Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure that safety is a top priority on all construction projects. 


Bsc Of Engineering 15+ Years of Experience Min 3 of them as a HSE Department Manager or Similar Managerial Role Experience in Construction Is a Must NEBOSH IGC is a mustISO 45001 & ISO 14001 certificates are preference Self-starter with ability to drive accomplishmentsEffective reporting and communication skills
