Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Foreign Purchasing Specialist at Orient Paints. The role involves managing purchasing processes, overseeing purchase management, handling purchase orders, and utilizing analytical skills to optimize procurement strategies.
- Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.
- Maintaining strong supplier relations.
- Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
- Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.
- Evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings.
- Analyzing industry and demand trends and supporting senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
- Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records.
- Preparing the required payments for the local and foreign purchases.
- Preparing reports for the clearance shipments, and the customs payments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field is preferred.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in a purchasing role.
- Experience in both local and foreign purchasing.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Excellent English language ability
