Strategy and Development:
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice capacity planning vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
General and Task Management:
- Analyze specifications and capacity, developing capacity utilization methods and materials/requirements planning (MRP).
- Lead and own the site's cross-category planning process, ensuring visibility of supply capacity and alignment with demand plans.
- Develop capacity plans and shipping schedules to ensure on-time order delivery, while coordinating responses to unplanned events.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives, ensuring accurate information is used for planning, and refine systems to improve forecast accuracy and resource utilization.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team, while upholding core values of integrity and safety.
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering is preferred.5-7 years of experience in capacity planning within the ports and transportation industry.Strong knowledge of resource management, warehouse capacity planning, and statistical forecasting.Certifications in Six Sigma, Capacity Planning, and Inventory Management are required.Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with 4+ years of people management experience.
