Lead Generation and Prospecting:
- Identify and research potential vendors and operators in the tourism sector who can benefit from listing their tours and activities on our platform.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects through various channels, including networking, industry events, and online research.
Sales Outreach:
- Initiate contact with prospective vendors and operators via phone, email, and in-person meetings to present the benefits of partnering with Ithaka
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide detailed information about our platform, including features, benefits, and partnership opportunities.
Negotiation and Contracting:
- Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors and operators to finalize agreements and onboard them onto our platform.
- Ensure all contractual agreements are accurately completed and signed.
Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and operators to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to new partners, helping them maximize their presence and performance on our platform.
Market Research and Feedback:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to position our platform effectively and identify new opportunities.
- Gather feedback from partners to improve our offerings continuously and address any potential gaps.
Reporting and Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, partner interactions, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales progress, pipeline status, and partnership outcomes.
Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably in the tourism or travel sector. Experience in signing vendors or partners for online platforms is a plus. Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Knowledge: Understanding of the tourism industry, including market trends and vendor needs. Familiarity with online marketplaces and digital platforms is advantageous. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field preferred. Attributes: Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
