Overview of the role:
This position will be responsible for the management of timely submissions and approvals of tenant’s Concept and Final Designs. The role is to ensure that approved designs are of the highest possible standard and in line with CFCM Design Criteria. The role is to provide regular site inspections through different retail elements (shops, Kiosks, etc.) and stages of fit-out to ensure compliance with the mall design criteria and the approved package; and proper achievement of their brand vision.
What you will do:
- Contact and meet with the Tenants and their design team / Consultant to discuss and clarify CFCM’s Design Criteria and Retail Delivery process for new shop openings and existing shop renovation.
- Apply innovative and excellent design standards following CFCM design Criteria.
- Review and update the Design Criteria regularly to cover all learned lessons and to keep it updated with the design’s trends.
- Monitor the tenant’s design progress verses their submitted time schedule to improve and facilitate their progress to meet the agreed RCD and report tenant progress on a weekly basis.
- Enhance the Retail Design process and ensure that it is achieved through the ongoing relationship with retailers, their designers, and their contractors, the RDM must be multidiscipline in Retail Design, Retail knowledge and construction Management.
- Demanding a high standard of design, drawings, and material sample board to facilitate the construction phase and deliver shops and kiosks with high fit out comply with the mall design criteria.
- Provide technical support and solutions required for tenants when monitoring approved design during fit out to maintain and achieve the Mall design Manuel.
- Resolve snags when inspecting fit out work on site and produce a snag list within days of shops opening.
- Control the design process and different consultants through the Detailed Design stages including full design for the assigned shop or kiosk by collaboration of all concerned parties.
- Collaborate Meetings with Consultants for Multidisciplinary Design aspects and avoid Design Errors.
- Monitor and track, on a regular basis, design delivery and provide updated reports to key stakeholders for their review and information.
- Support Retail Designers in all technicalities and how to monitor the tenant contractors in relation to the mall design Manual and criteria requirements.
- Study and review all mall-required changes and provide technical reports accordingly.
Skills
Required Skills to be successful:
Minimum 7 - 9 years of progressive and successful experience in Retail Design, ideally in a large Shopping Mall / retail development company, in Egypt or abroad in a similar role.
