We are looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our AFC (Automatic Fare Collection) products.
Overall Goal:
The primary objective of this role is to create clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation to support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of our AFC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work with internal technical teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product design, functionality, operation of AFC systems and the documentation requirements.
- Create and maintain the information architecture in order to produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Research and analyze technical information, converting complex concepts into clear and concise instructions.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to our internal style guide and industry best practices.
- Edit and proofread existing and newly created documentation for accuracy and clarity.
- Stay up to date on the latest AFC technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience writing clear and concise technical documentation, preferably in the transportation or IT industry.
- Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Excellent research and information gathering skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams from diverse technical backgrounds.
