- Take a garment from concept to shelf by reviewing design work, developing a plan with the manufacturer, and ensuring that the finished product meets our quality standards
- Collaborating with designers, manufacturers, vendors, and clients to ensure products meet or exceed all requirements
- Drive and evolve a Technical Design strategy including operations, methods, protocols, standards, and measures of effectiveness
- Build audit mechanisms to consistently monitor and check fit, both pre-and post-production
- Discuss designs with the fashion designer to make practical compromises and implement design changes and making contingency plans as necessary to make sure that all designs are feasible for mass production.
- Analyzing designs and determining required resources and project deadlines.
- Determine the best layout of pattern pieces to minimize waste of material.
- Follow up & visit manufacturers regarding models, quantities, colors & delivery dates and report back to senior management.
- Establishing quality control standards and inspecting final & finished products to ensure that they are free from defects.
- Handling a range of admin duties.
Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts – Home Economy (preferable)Diploma in pattern making (Must)Gerber system (preferable)At least 5 years of experience in pattern making.Good command of English.Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).Good presentation and communication skills.Preferred proven experience in the Export field
