· Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting department for all DIS entities in Middle East and Africa.
· Supervise and mentor accounting staff providing training and support to ensure the team is working on maximum efficiency.
· Ensure the timely preparation of financial statements for all entities in scope.
· Manage and supervise the different tax compliance filings for the served entities.
· Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
· Approve Complex Journal entries and account reconciliations
· Ensure the accuracy of books and records by analysing and reviewing trial balance as well as drive balance sheet review process and provide remediation and solution
· Work closely with different country finance & project controllers.
· Responsible for resolving reporting and closing queries and develop controls to avoid repeated issues
· At least 8 years of experience with a large sized company, preferably MNC of which last 4 years to be of supervisory role · Shared Services Experience is preferable · Experience in regional or headoffice functions in MNC with ability to communicate with people from different regions · Ability to take over Business Partner Role· Professional certificate is preferred (CPA, CMA, etc.)· Strong knowledge of IFRS
