Intertrade Co., a leading Egyptian manufacturer of PVC gaskets, magnetic strips, and PVC compound materials, is seeking a diligent and motivated Chemist & R&D Assistant to join our dynamic team in our factory located in the 10th of Ramadan City, Sharqia, Egypt.

This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products, and involves working closely with production operators, guiding them on PVC compounding lines, testing materials, scheduling production and orders, checking machine settings, and assisting the Chemist Manager in production and quality control.

Intertrade's product range includes PVC Compound, PVC Products, PVC Gaskets, and Magnetic Strips.

Responsibilities

• Guide operators on PVC Compounding Lines to ensure optimal production processes.
• Conduct tests on materials to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Schedule production and orders to ensure timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
• Check and adjust machine settings to maintain product quality.
• Assist the Chemist Manager in overseeing production processes and resolving any issues.
• Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, implementing solutions to fix them promptly.
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports by collecting and analyzing data.
• Maintain and update data sheets, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and other relevant documents regularly.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with operators and other team members to optimize production processes.
• Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Stay updated with new technologies and processes in the field.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the management.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.Fresh graduates to 2 years of experience, including internships in a manufacturing or laboratory setting preferred plastic or PVC manufacturing.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for conducting tests, analyzing data, and generating accurate reports.Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment, particularly in testing plastic materials.Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with operators.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and report generation.Ability to create and update data sheets, MSDS, and other technical documents.Familiarity with industry regulations and quality standards.Must be a resident of 10th of Ramadan City, Sharqia.Preferred women candidates will be considered for this role, as per the company's policy or preference.Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and engage in physical activities such as walking. Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a similar role within the PVC or plastics manufacturing industry.Knowledge of ISO standards and Lean Manufacturing principles.Experience in quality control and assurance in a manufacturing setting. About Intertrade Co.Established in 1984 by Mohamed Elsoufy Ramadan, Intertrade is a family-owned business now managed by Mr. Khaled Elsoufy.
