About the role:

 

 

The HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing and managing various human resources functions within the organization. This role involves leading a team of HR professionals and collaborating with department managers to ensure effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs. The HR Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining a positive work environment, supporting employee development, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with department managers to understand their HR needs, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, candidate screening, and conducting interviews, to attract and retain qualified talent.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and implementing necessary policies and practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs, including performance management, employee development, and benefits administration.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures, ensuring fair and consistent treatment of employees.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
  • Support employee training and development initiatives, including identifying training needs, coordinating training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, HRIS data, and other HR-related documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in HR management, and recommend improvements to HR policies, processes, and programs.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR management or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in using HR software and tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
