Project Quantity Surveyor Engineer

  • As part of the PCM Team, you will work closely with other internal departments and external consultants and contractors, namely: Engineering, Procurement, Accounts, PM, Package Contractors as a minimum.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Procurement Plan is allied to all construction packages, whilst ensuring other project-related plans are adhered to.
  • Responsible to ensure the all Call for Tender documentation is correct, and the tender process is managed professionally, Contract documents are correct and follow best practice risk mitigation.
  • Lead handovers from the procurement phase contract award to construction Package Managers.
  • Work closely with Package Managers to ensure that each package is evaluated every month and contractor’s applications for payment are correct. Ensuring all remeasured items are captured and change requests are documented and priced.
  • Input to monthly package progress meetings to discuss contractor performance, working with other members of the PCM Team to provide clear concise reporting into contractor performance.
  • Line management / supervisory or subordinate team members as required for organization structure. 

Very strong QS skills (MoM, Construction Contract Law)Strong MS Office KnowledgeExcellent verbal communication skills (Egyptian and English) Very strong personality, self-starter, motivated, ambitious, and confident.Previous exposure to Egyptian / Middle East construction as a contractor/consultant. Previous experience working as part of an EPCM team desirable but not essential. Previous experience of industrial projects is considered a bonus.Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field, ideally QS or CM.Minimum 6 demonstratable years of relevant work experience post-degree, or 10 years without.
