Position Overview:
As an Export Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the entire export
process for our clients, with a primary focus on pricing strategies. Your role will include
coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with export regulations, and
providing exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in facilitating the smooth and
efficient transportation of goods to international destinations and developing competitive pricing
models.
Responsibilities:
● Communicate with partner agents, clients, trucking companies, customs clearance
agents, and shipping lines via phone and email.
● Prepare, review, and verify accurate export documentation, ensuring compliance with
customs regulations, export laws, and industry standards.
● Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, trucking companies, and other service
providers to ensure the smooth transportation and delivery of goods.
● Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service
and addressing inquiries related to export operations. Proactively communicate and
provide status updates to clients regarding their shipments.
● Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies to maximize profitability while
ensuring market competitiveness.
● Prepare pricing quotes and proposals for clients, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
● Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive
edge.
● Identify and resolve any operational issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies
in export documentation. Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and clients
to find effective solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of export transactions, including export
documentation, customs clearance documents, pricing proposals, and related
correspondence.
● Ensure that financial aspects (billing and invoicing) and reporting for freight are carried
out in accordance with company requirements.
● Issue invoices to clients.
Qualifications:● Minimum of 2-5 years of experience, preferably in the shipping industry.● Strong understanding of export procedures, customs regulations, documentationrequirements, Incoterms, and pricing strategies.● Meticulous and detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex export documentationand pricing models accurately.● Strong organizational skills to manage multiple export shipments and pricing proposalssimultaneously.● Ability to identify and resolve export-related issues, such as customs clearance delays,documentation discrepancies, shipment disruptions, and pricing challenges. Ability tothink critically and find practical solutions.● Bachelor’s degree.● Strong written and verbal communication skills both in English and Arabic.
