The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all services that support the functioning of businesses or other stakeholders. This includes planning, assigning, and managing maintenance and operations personnel to ensure that school buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment meet health, safety, and security policies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections of school buildings and grounds to maintain safety and sanitation standards, including pest control.
Oversee the school alarm system, arrange repairs with vendors and district maintenance personnel, and ensure all work meets district standards.
Manage grounds-keeping personnel, order custodial supplies, and direct the delivery and warehousing of these supplies.
Select, train, and evaluate custodial, grounds, and maintenance personnel, maintain records, prepare reports, and process payroll forms.
Onboard foreign staff, plan and implement preventive maintenance programs, develop and oversee the custodial and maintenance budget, and coordinate the use of school facilities.
Ensure that basic facilities like water and heating are well-maintained, manage budgets, allocate space, and ensure compliance with government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards.
Advise on energy efficiency, oversee projects and refurbishments, and draft reports with written recommendations.
Operate a computerized energy management system, perform skilled maintenance and repair work, and supervise multi-disciplinary teams.
