Quality Duties and responsibilities:
- Planning for various quality activities needed within the company that ensures the highest level of product quality. This includes:
- Quality department mission & objectives.
- System audit plan.
- Process audit plans
- Product audit processes.
- Customer complaints management.
- Continuous improvement process.
- Highly contributes in setting of the company management system and quality policy.
- Select, recruit and train the highly qualified candidates in quality department that share in achieving the departmental objectives.
- Leading, motivating and coaching of the quality team towards the team work culture to effectively achieve the departmental objectives.
- Report, discuss and present the product quality level for to the management as well as other departments.
- Supervise the establishment, implementation and maintain the quality management system and reporting the performance of the quality to the plant general manager.
- Plan, coordinate and ensure implementation of other management systems and international standards related and needed for the company work scope.
- Direct effort towards quality documentation, including providing procedures, training and resources.
- Attend departmental staff meeting, morning briefing, audit reviews to acquire, explain, clarify or amplify on reports, feedbacks, issues, etc. in relation to quality.
- Appraise his subordinates and follow up their performance through annual appraisal system,
- Receive all departmental correspondences, read and route to proper quality personnel or outside quality department, as appropriate, for disposition and follow up to ensure answers when required.
- Follow up customer satisfaction through regular meetings with corresponding quality departments at customers and develop and implement and maintain needed corrective actions.
- Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
- Devise and review specifications for products or processes
- Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
- Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements
- Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential quality issues and ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant industry standards and regulations related to exhaust systems.
- Prepare and maintain quality control documentation, including reports and records.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Establish and maintain and review Products Control plans and FMEAS
- Perform process audits and conclude area of non-conformities and areas for improvement
- Measure and monitor the Quality KPIS to assure achieving the set targets
- Receive and accompany all external audits (customers, 3rd party)
- Perform liaison among groups, departments, or divisions of company, on matters relating to major customer complaints, claims and losses due to handling damage, internal defect, rework, process deviations etc.
- Follow up company rules and regulations, discipline, health and safety
- Carry out any special tasks assigned from plant manager related to his work scope
Engineering Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth project workflow.
- Lead the design and development of new exhaust system products.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols within the engineering department.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team and other departments.
- Work closely with the production, quality, and sales teams to ensure product specifications meet customer requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and other external partners.
- Communicate engineering plans, progress, and challenges to senior management.
- Appraise his subordinates and follow up their performance through annual appraisal system.
- Follow company's rules and regulations, discipline, health and safety.
- Ability to read drawings and external BOM
Skills
Qualification
- Engineering bachelor degree
- ISO IATF lead auditor
- PMP certificate
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus
Experience:
- 10 years’ experience
- Proven experience as a Quality or Engineering Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards
- Experience in all phases of manufacturing with relevant experience in similar position.
- Proven experience of leading projects
Knowledge:
- Robust knowledge about manufacturing international standards
- Robust ISO standards (IATF–14001-45001, 17025 - VDA)
- Design programs (AutoCAD – CATIA, etc...)
