RINA is currently recruiting for a Environmental Studies & Permitting Senior Engineer to join its office in Cairo within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.MissionThe selected candidate will join our Environmental Engineering department working within a multidisciplinary team involved in different environmental projects with a focus on environmental quality monitoring and environmental permitting and due diligence for national and international projects in the energy, infrastructure, and industry sectors.Job ResponsibilityDraft and manage environmental studies (or part of the studies).Perform site surveys and field visits.Liaise with contractors in charge of the preparation of parts of the studies.Collaborate with other members of the team in providing environmental consultancy services (ESHIA studies, environmental monitoring and modeling, environmental due diligence, support for permitting procedures, etc.).Collaborate with other members of the team in preparing technical and financial offers.Contribute to the creation of new business opportunities.Experiences And RequirementsPrevious experience in similar assignments and roles.Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory; other languages will be considered as preferentialGood knowledge of GIS tools and applicationKnow-how in Egyptian environmental legislation and good applicable best practicesKnow-how in International Standards and best practices.Ability and willingness in taking part to missions (field visits, site surveys, etc) in Egypt and abroad.Good knowledge of modeling tools (air, noise, water, etc.) will be considered as a plusEducationMaster’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental ScienceWith over 5,600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a multinational player which provides certification, marine classification, product testing, site supervision and vendor inspection, training and engineering consultancy services across a wide range of sectors.
