Financial manager

For Travel Agency : looking for Finance Manager

  • Manage & Supervise the functional and administrative duties and responsibilities of the accounts department. Functions as an advisor / consultant and keeps accurate business transactions in ledgers and ensures the team records them on financial statements monthly, quarterly and yearly. Lead and grow the team while controlling cost and improving productivity.

Job Description:

  • Manages and supervises the functional & administrative obligations & responsibilities of the Accounts department
  • Ensures compliance to accounting policies & procedures
  • On time preparation and reporting of periodic & year-end Financial Statements
  • Preparation of budgets in close relationship with divisive managers and GM & CEO
  • Review and control of approved budgets
  • Management Reporting
  • Asset, cash, accounts receivable management
  • Staff payroll administration
  • Co-ordination with division s and senior management
  • Maintains involvement in each aspect where the intervention of finance is needed
  • Maintains banking relationship (Bank Facilities, Guarantees, POS transactions, etc ...)
  • Co-ordination with auditors and making sure to achieve proper and on time reporting of reviewed and documented financials.
  • Compliance to legal requirements (eg Commercial Registration, Civil Aviation, Municipal License, etc ...)
  • Maintains good relationship with customers, suppliers and other business partners and ensures all issues are being attended properly
  • Monitor airline and suppliers incentive, fixed assets, prepayments
  • Payroll (salary calculation and payment & monitoring staff benefits, etc. Leave Salary and Indemnity)
  • Responsible for BSP reconciliation and timely process
  • Monitors BSP / IATA correspondences and required reports, credit card reconciliation
  • Monitors general invoicing, credit limits of customers, refunds, delivery of invoices timely,  petty cash custodian
  • Abide by Company Policy and Procedure.

Years of experience required:

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a reputed IATA travel agency / Travel Management company

Education:

  • (Minimum requirement's): University graduate in accounting & finance business discipline MBA finance / M-COM will be an advantage
  • Recognized travel qualification- IATA /UFTAA - CRS - Computer Reservations Systems (Amadeus)

Technical Competencies:

  • CRS - Computer Reservations Systems (Amadeus)
  • Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook etc...)
  • Airlines codes and IATA city/ airport codes
  • BSP and CRS refund

Languages:

  • English fluent (Written and oral)

Special working conditions:

  • Required to be flexible concerning working hours as role may require work outside normal business hours and shifts
