- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including electro/mechanic and Body and paint.
- Set and achieve department goals and objectives, focusing on productivity, cost controls, and service quality.
- Recruit, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all workshop staff.
- Monitor and control department performance using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and surveys.
- Foster harmony and teamwork within the department and with other departments.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
- Account for all documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Facilitate technical training for employees and recommend training as needed.
- Coordinate parts orders to ensure availability for service jobs.
- Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks through thorough final quality inspections.
- Stay updated on new equipment and tools available and recommend purchases.
