Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement logistics strategies and plans to support the organization's overall objectives and goals.
2. Manage and coordinate the transportation, distribution, and storage of goods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
3. Oversee and optimize the inventory management process, including forecasting demand, monitoring stock levels, and implementing inventory control measures.
4. Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to negotiate contracts, establish service level agreements, and maintain productive business relationships.
5. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.
6. Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations governing logistics operations, including customs requirements, import/export regulations, and transportation safety standards.
7. Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing and motivated workforce.
8. Implement and utilize logistics management systems and technologies to streamline processes, enhance visibility, and improve decision-making.
9. Evaluate and select third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and oversee their performance to ensure adherence to service level agreements and cost-effective solutions.
10. Develop and manage the logistics budget, including forecasting expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and monitoring financial performance.
1. Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.2. Proven experience in logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.3. In-depth knowledge of logistics principles, best practices, and industry trends.4. Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.5. Familiarity with logistics management software and systems.6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement process improvements.7. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of effectively leading and motivating a diverse workforce.8.
