Fashion leather accessories design studio seeking a dynamic and creative Design Research and Development Specialist.
Candidate will be working very closely with the founder and lead designer to develop new collections, widen the range of product offering, and oversee suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that the products are completed in a timely and suitable standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-create new products and processes
- Oversee suppliers and manufacturers
- Create prototypes
- Research new product ideas and methods
- Improve existing products and processes
- Find creative design solutions to problems
- Be up-to-date with market trends and requirements
Job will require being in the studio as well as field work like working closely with external factories and workshops, going to suppliers in the market, following up with manufacturers and ensuring their quality is up to our brand standards. Candidate must be very active, passionate about arts and crafts, know how to work with craftspeople and within a team.Technical Skills:Design degree and/or experience in manufacturing background in product design, fashion design, or leatherworkMust know Powerpoint Adobe photoshop knowledge is a plus!
