- Lead a group of 12-15 engineers and provide technical & administrative information to team members to ensure that the work/documents/drawings complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions.
- Coordinating with the team and all concerned departments to complete the required job orders on time.
- Ensure that all drawings prepared for manufacturing include all the required tolerances (G & D) and the design of the joints/connections (bolted or welded with all necessary data) are compatible with the standards specified in the design and the used codes.
- Supervise technical office team and assign projects based on experience and/or relevance to their experience and train project team members as necessary to raise the technical knowledge and awareness.
- Ensure that all required data is available, holding progress meetings, discussing and proposing technical solutions.
- Coordinate between design, manufacturing, and quality control to resolve any issues that appear on the shop floor.
- Providing the required technical support to the production team when needed.
- Revise the design for ease of manufactureability and propose changes to the design team, involving the manufacturing team at the right time to ensure success if production. Including the need for jigs and fixtures.
- Ensure that the product requirements are conveyed to the engineering teams and that engineering deliverables satisfy the manufacturing and site requirements.
- Document projects issues/conditions.
- Recognize which areas of project development need to be re-addressed in order to maintain efficiency.
- Responsible for the preparation of project related method statements for erection and assembly for all parts.
- Supervise and review the standards sheets for Acrow design processes.
- Ensure that all product packages are updated in case of any modifications.
- Keen to achieve the best use of available materials with the lowest losses “Product cost savings & optimizations”.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Production) Experience: +12 years of experience (at least 4-5 years as manager).Experience in metal works, (design and detailing – steel structures and sheet metal) is necessary.Very good experience in using design program (Solidworks and AutoCAD 2D & 3D).In-depth up-to-date technical knowledge of MS office, ERP system (Orcale is preffered).Developed communications, time management and supervisory skills.Previous formwork experience is preferable.Tekla, Revit, PMP & MBA is a plus.Fluency in English.
