- Monitor the operations of the finance department, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and providing leadership and support to the finance team.
- Performance management of the finance team, assisting in the design of objectives and KPIs and a framework for these to be met, and participating in performance reviews and annual appraisals.
- Provide and interpret financial reports and information to senior management, including recommendations for further action.
- Maintain the financial health of the organization.
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plan.
- Prepare financial projections, monitoring and reporting on trends.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Prepare the company’s budget in conjunction with the Head of Finance, reporting variances and advising accordingly.
- Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Correspond with various other departments with regard to interdepartmental issues and company plans.
Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.Proven ability to manage, guide and lead a finance team.Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst.Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.Proficient user of finance software.Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsA solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principlesWorking knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulationsBS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or EconomicsProfessional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
