Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and controlling our company's costs and ensuring they align with budgetary targets. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Prepare and analyze cost reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend actions to management.
• Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and assist in inventory management.
• Collaborate with various departments to streamline processes and improve cost efficiency.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting.
Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role.• Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
