Job Role:
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department within a hotel, ensuring the cleanliness, comfort, and overall maintenance of guest rooms and public areas. They manage a team of housekeeping staff, coordinate cleaning schedules, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housekeeping supervisors, and laundry personnel.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance coaching to the housekeeping team.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment that encourages teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure efficient and consistent cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas.
- Ensure that guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and adherence to brand standards.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures, including checklists and reporting systems, to assess and improve housekeeping performance.
- Address and resolve guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping services promptly and effectively.
- Monitor and respond to guest feedback, reviews, and surveys, taking appropriate actions to address concerns or improve services.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the housekeeping team.
- Develop and manage the housekeeping department budget, including expenses for staffing, supplies, equipment, and maintenance.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a housekeeping management role, preferably in a hotel or luxury hospitality environment. BSc in Business Administration or relevant fieldGood organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong attention to detailProficiency in English is a must. Problem-solving skills.
