Marine Service engineers are responsible for the maintenance and repair in a workshop setting. They work closely with technicians to diagnose problems, develop and implement solutions, and ensure that engines are returned to customers in a safe and reliable condition.
Job Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
- Develop and implement repair plans, including ordering and installing parts.
- Supervise and train technicians.
- Maintain workshop equipment and procedures.
- Ensure that the repair performed in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Stay up to date on the latest technologies and trends.
- Provide technical advice and support to customers.
- Answer questions about service outcomes, schedule and book appointments.
- Provide customers with information and advice on warranty protections, potential cost savings and the advantages of trading in versus fixing.
- Manage and oversee the dealership’s workflow and schedule.
- Call customers to advise them about service changes or times.
- Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure customer retention.
