We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimating & Cost Engineer to join our architectural design team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for creating precise take-offs and bill of quantities (BOQ) using software like Planswift, Onscreen takeoff, or Bluebeam. Your tasks will involve interpreting blueprints and architectural drawings, applying construction fundamentals, and ensuring adherence to best millwork practices. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in construction and millwork, along with proficiency in reading and understanding architectural plans.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed millwork take-offs and proposals in accordance with standard American Woodworking Institute practices.
- Estimate budget costs for construction projects by thoroughly studying plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects and production managers to maintain pricing standards and comply with industry regulations.
- Utilize material specifications and obtain quotes from vendors to develop accurate budgets and proposals.
- Prepare bids for architectural millwork projects.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication in English with both internal and external teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.Previous experience in architectural estimating and cost management, preferably in interior or millwork applications.Proficiency with the latest architectural standards.Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team, including remote collaboration.Fluent in written and verbal English with excellent communication skills.Proficient in using the Imperial measurement system.If you meet these qualifications and are looking to join a dynamic architectural design team, we encourage you to apply.
