Job Purpose
The Logistics Assistant will be based in Al Arish supports the delegation's logistics team by following up on and handling requests. Provides support in accordance with logistics standards, ICRC rules, financial procedures and regulations including the following activities: -
Responsibilities:
- Meetings with internal customers for collaborative demand planning (CDP)
- Order management.
- Maintenance, follow-up, and statistical reporting using the Field Supply System (FSS) application.
- Follow-up on inventory levels.
- Warehousing.
- Transport of goods and coordinating trips into the field.
- Import-export formalities.
- Filing and archiving of documents.
- Ensures that risks are mitigated by performing the controls assigned to his/her role as described in the Logistics Risk and Control Matrix.
Qualifications and Education requirementsMinimum two years' experience in a similar field.University degree or equivalent experiencePreferable to be based in Al Arish, Egypt.Detailed knowledge of the local area.Good command (spoken and written) of English and/or French.Computer literacy.Preferable to have Driving license.
