- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of systems, network servers and virtualization.
- Install and upgrade components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Support helpdesk teams’ efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
- Operating systems installation and configuration (e.g. Windows Server, SUSE Linux)
- Infrastructure systems installation and configuration (e.g. AD, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, SCOM)
- Develop system monitoring and support automation to enhance and scale the quality of support
- Design system improvements and oversee their implementation
- Participate in general IT operations and user support
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subjectCloud experience, preferably in AZUREScripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python) is a plusKnowledge of networking (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)Good communication skills (written, verbal, and face-to-face).Both oral and written communication skills are vital to relaying important information.
