- Initiates purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the received requisitions in alignment with standard procedures.
- Follows up and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance Plus resolving the performance issues.
- Supports the development and implementation of sourcing strategies with main suppliers in close alignment with the procurement manager.
- Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists, terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with proposal and project teams to determine necessary items for procurement during the project and develop schedules, estimates and forecasts for submission to the main suppliers.
- Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with the procurement manager and qualifies new suppliers in cooperation with quality and engineering specialists.
- Coordinates directly with both engineering and project management teams to verify received inquires and specifications for the requested items
- Supports Sales and proposals teams by providing relevant market information and prices along with the current status of inventory.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering1 to 4 years of experience in a related field.Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar roleAbility to utilise computer applications such as; Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, and Microsoft officeStrong analytical & numerical skills, with accuracy & attention to details.Good oral and written communication in both English and Arabic are mandatory.Ability to work under pressure & to meet necessary deadlines
