span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif;\">Waldorf Astoria is looking for an Overnight Operations Manager to join the team in Chicago's Gold Coast! This is an exciting time to join the team as the hotel recently elevated the hotel completed a renovation.

This Forbes 4-Star property located in downtown Chicago has a Parisian-style charm with 318 rooms, 8,500 square feet of banquet space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes a restaurant, 2 bars, and in-room dining.

In this role, you will report into the Director of Front Office and oversee 8+ team members during the evening shift within front office, housekeeping, in room dining, security and engineering.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader who has the ability to enhance the guest's experience and to offer creative solutions to any challenges or special requests. Prior experience managing a union staff and working in a luxury hotel are a plus and the successful candidate will most likely offer experience in front office/overnight audit and overall rooms division operations.

What will I be doing?

 

As an Overnight Operations Manager, you would be responsible overseeing hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Oversee all hotel operations to include, but not limited to, guest service and registration (check-in/check-out), staffing, room inventory and availability, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, systems use and management, department management and policy and procedure implementation and enforcement
  • \t
  • Meet and greet guests and respond to guest inquiries, requests and issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and resolve guest concerns
  • \t
  • Communicate with and ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events
  • \t
  • Assist in operational areas as needed (i.e. serve as bel lperson, cover breaks, etc.)
  • \t
  • Patrol the hotel and the property to observe service and quality levels and safety and security status to address any issues or concerns
  • \t
  • Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
  • \t
  • Complete and review reports
  • \t
  • Ensure compliance with Company standards
