We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy. Your responsibilities will include accurately dispensing medications, managing inventory, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a high standard of pharmaceutical care.
Responsibilities:
Medication Dispensing:
- Accurately and efficiently fill prescription orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Ensure the correct medication, dosage, and labeling for each prescription.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Place orders for pharmaceutical supplies and medications as needed.
- Perform regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
Customer Service:
- Assist customers in person or over the phone, addressing inquiries and providing information about medications.
- Process customer transactions.
Labeling and Packaging:
- Properly label and package medications according to pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all packaging activities.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prescriptions, medications, and patient information.
- Adhere to privacy regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Quality Control:
- Perform routine quality control checks on medications and inventory.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervising pharmacist.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and other pharmacy staff to ensure seamless workflow.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
