Job Purpose:
The Oracle Fusion Technical Lead is responsible for driving the technical vision, architecture, development, integration, and continuous enhancement of Oracle Fusion Cloud solutions across the organization. The role serves as the subject matter expert for Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), and Oracle Process Automation (OPA), ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, resilient, and future-ready enterprise solutions. The incumbent will lead the design and implementation of complex integrations, custom applications, and workflow automation initiatives while partnering with business stakeholders, functional teams, and external vendors to accelerate digital transformation across multiple countries and business units. The role requires a strategic technology leader who can balance hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, governance, innovation, and operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities:
Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership Define and govern the technical architecture for Oracle Fusion integrations, extensions, and automation solutions. Establish development standards, integration frameworks, coding best practices, and governance models aligned with Oracle Cloud architecture principles. Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, hypercare, and support. Assess emerging Oracle technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve business performance, user experience, and operational efficiency. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture requirements. Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Lead the design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). Design and implement real-time, batch, event-driven, and API-led integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud applications and third-party systems. Develop and maintain integration frameworks, reusable components, and integration accelerators. Troubleshoot and optimize integration performance, reliability, scalability, and security. Ensure compliance with integration architecture standards and service-level agreements (SLAs). Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) Design and develop modern enterprise applications, portals, dashboards, and user interfaces using Oracle VBCS. Build custom solutions to address business requirements not covered by standard Oracle Fusion functionality. Enhance user experience through intuitive, responsive, and mobile-enabled applications. Develop reusable UI components and ensure consistency across custom solutions. Oracle Process Automation (OPA) Design and implement business workflows and approval processes using Oracle Process Automation. Automate manual business processes to improve productivity, compliance, and operational efficiency. Integrate automated workflows with Oracle Fusion and external applications. Drive process standardization and optimization initiatives across business functions. Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership Collaborate with business leaders, functional consultants, project managers, and technical teams to understand strategic business requirements. Translate complex business needs into sustainable technical solutions. Serve as the primary technical advisor for Oracle Fusion integrations and extensions. Facilitate workshops, solution reviews, and stakeholder presentations. Post-Implementation Support & Continuous Improvement Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues. Drive application enhancements, upgrades, performance optimization, and cloud transformation initiatives. Ensure technical documentation, knowledge repositories, and operational procedures remain current and comprehensive. Establish proactive monitoring and support mechanisms for integrations and applications. Team Leadership & Capability Building Mentor and coach technical team members to build Oracle Cloud capabilities. Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance on architecture, development, and integration best practices. Support succession planning and individual development plans. Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline. Master's Degree is considered an advantage.
Experience Essential7+ years of experience in Oracle application development, integration, and technical consulting.5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).5+ years of experience developing custom applications and extensions using Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS).5+ years of experience building workflow solutions using Oracle Process Automation (OPA). Proven experience delivering Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation, enhancement, upgrade, and support projects. Experience working across one or more Oracle Fusion pillars including:ERPSCMHCMEPMCXOTMStrong experience in enterprise system integrations and middleware technologies. Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and complex integration projects. Experience working within multi-country and geographically distributed environments.
Preferred Experience leading large-scale ERP transformation programs. Experience within manufacturing, distribution, heavy equipment, logistics, or multinational organizations. Experience with Oracle APEX development. Experience with OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) services. Oracle Cloud implementation experience across Africa, Middle East, or multinational operations.
