**Job Title |** Head Barista **Reports To |** Operations Manager **Level |** Manager ### **Duties and Responsibilities:** • Work under the supervision of the Operations Manager. • Full knowledge of the menu and item ingredients. • **Leadership and Supervision of the Barista Team (Across All Branches):** * **Team Leadership and Training:** Direct, train, and evaluate barista teams across all branches, ensuring their adherence to quality and service standards. * **Schedule Management:** Coordinate barista work schedules to ensure efficient coverage of all shifts. * **Recruitment:** Support the process of attracting and hiring new baristas. • **Quality Assurance and Standardization (All Branches):** * **Quality Control:** Ensure consistent quality of coffee and beverages in every cup served across all branches. * **Equipment Calibration:** Oversee the adjustment and calibration of espresso equipment and grind size to ensure optimal extraction. * **Periodic Inspection:** Visit branches regularly to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and workflow. * **Menu Development:** Propose new seasonal drinks and test innovative recipes. • **Inventory and Procurement Management (For All Branches):** * **Inventory Control:** Monitor inventory of all raw materials (food, tools, and packaging) across all branches. * **Procurement Coordination:** Order supplies in a unified and timely manner to prevent shortages. * **Waste Reduction:** Ensure efficient use of ingredients to minimize waste and costs. • Customer service and resolving beverage-related issues. • Establish and follow up on opening and closing cleaning schedules. • **Operational Problem Solving:** Handle technical equipment malfunctions or any emergencies during service, and follow up on routine and preventive maintenance for barista equipment. • Coordinate with the Training Department to train new employees before they start actual work. • Coordinate with the Operations Department and Training Department to train current employees on the barista station. • **Reporting:** Prepare periodic reports on barista staff. • Coordinate work with the Operations Manager to implement promotional offers and work policies.
