Job Vacancy: Deputy Production Manager
Al Shaheen Trading & Industry is seeking to hire a Deputy Production Manager to join our team.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.* 4–5 years of experience in a production environment.* Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.* Excellent knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans according to customer requirements and available production capacity.* Develop detailed production schedules and ensure the availability of raw materials, equipment, and manpower.* Supervise all manufacturing stages and production lines to ensure smooth operations.* Lead and manage supervisors, technicians, and operators while assigning tasks according to priorities.* Monitor product quality throughout the production process and coordinate with the Quality Department to address any deviations.* Ensure products meet company specifications and customer requirements, including metal thickness, welding strength, printing quality, corrosion resistance, powder coating, and other technical standards.* Coordinate with the Quality Department to ensure compliance with Food Safety Management Systems such as FSSC and BRC standards.* Monitor the efficient utilization of resources, including raw materials, labor, energy, and production time.* Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to minimize downtime and maximize production line efficiency.* Resolve technical and operational issues in cooperation with maintenance and engineering teams.* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs.* Participate in workforce planning, employee training, and development programs.* Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and semi-finished products to ensure uninterrupted production.* Track and reduce scrap and waste rates.* Review and analyze production KPIs, including OEE, Efficiency, and Yield.* Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and conduct employee safety training.* Support the development and upgrading of production lines to improve efficiency and reduce costs.* Participate in the selection of raw materials (Tinplate / TFS) according to production requirements.* Ensure the implementation of preventive maintenance plans and equipment readiness.* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.* Manage production risks and make timely decisions to ensure business continuity.* Document all production activities through the company's system and production monitoring reports.* Monitor production costs and ensure adherence to the approved budget while identifying cost-saving opportunities.* Submit periodic reports to the General Manager regarding production performance, downtime, waste rates, and quality indicators.* Train newly hired employees and provide performance evaluation reports to the HR Department after the training period.* Ensure full implementation of company occupational health and safety policies within the department.
